AN EVENING OF MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT TO RAISE FUNDS TO HELP THOSE IN NEED
DALLAS (APRIL 25, 2016)—The Salvation Army DFW is proud to announce the 2016 Most Good Music event will be held August 27 at The Bomb Factory located in Deep Ellum. The special event features country music artist and fellow Texan, Robert Earl Keen, along with Lee Ann Womack.
Music has always been an integral part in the message and ministry of The Salvation Army, dating back as far as 1878 with the organization’s first brass bands. For this reason, The Salvation Army is hoping to draw thousands for a night of music, celebration, and fun.
Robert Earl Keen launched his career in 1984 with the release of No Kinda Dancer. The Houston native has recorded 18 albums for both independent and major record labels, while his songs have also been covered by several different artists from the country, folk, and Texas-country music scenes.
Reaching the billboard charts at No. 1, Lee Ann Womack has become a well-respected country artist. She has released six studio albums and two compilations. Four of her studio albums have received a Gold certification or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The Most Good Music event is held annually to help The Salvation Army raise funds for critical programs and services. The organization also provided more than 42,000 bags/boxes of groceries to struggling individuals and families.
