Reduced to sleeping in public places and under bridges, people who have known better times turn to The Salvation Army for temporary shelter.
The Salvation Army offers clean, dignified surroundings, where homeless individuals receive meals, counseling, and assistance finding employment. Counselors may also advise the elderly and disabled on applying for V.A. or Social Security benefits.

The Salvation Army's Homeless Prevention Program helps those on the verge of losing everything, stay in their homes and to improve the way they handle finances in order to prevent future crises.
Through family counseling and community mentoring, families can be spared and relationships are restored.
