Many children have talent that will never be developed because their parents can't afford lessons, instruments or art supplies. If cultivated, this talent could one day provide a springboard to a better life.
The Salvation Army's Schools of Performing Arts provide that opportunity at community centers in Irving, Pleasant Grove, Waxahachie, Arlington, and in the Dallas Temple (Love Field Area). The schools give boys and girls a chance to get instruction in music, choir, dance, theatre, and art. However, not all locations provide all of the services. Please contact them to find out which ones are offered at each location.
In addition, students receive free loaner equipment and curriculum materials.
Fees range from $50 - $90 a semester (12 weeks). Semesters coincide with school semesters.
