Funding for the Army's Residential Substance Abuse Program
When you donate clothes, furniture and household items to The Salvation Army, your used goods are sold at one of seven local Salvation Army thrift stores. The income raised through the sale of these items provides the sole source of funding for the Army's residential substance abuse program.
Participants in the program repair and refurbish your used donated goods, and then stock, shelve and sell the items at one of the area thrift stores. In addition to providing the entire budget to fund this important program, your donations provide important work therapy for individuals who are trying to break the grips of chemical and alcohol addiction.
Items may be delivered directly to:
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center 5554 Harry Hines Blvd. (corner of Harry Hines and Inwood) Dallas, Texas
