140 Years of Caring
The Salvation Army began in London in 1865. Over the course of more than 140 years, our organization has spread around the globe and now maintains operations in 111 countries. The Army's work in the United States began in 1879. Since that time, the Army has enjoyed a long, positive relationship with the American public.
Although the numbers coming for help have increased, the human needs are still the same - from poverty to hunger to homelessness to addiction. |
